All policies, the Mobile Devices Terms, and the Privacy Policy are incorporated into these Terms of Use. You agree to comply with the above when using EWT services.
All accommodation tours, activities or transfers booked require a 50% deposit and balance of payment to be completed within 14 days of confirmation for your booking.
A refund is available if a cancellation is submitted one month prior to your arrival date for any booking or activity. A 5% levy is applicable to cover all banking charges and fees.
No refunds are applicable if cancelled within a two-week period unless proven in exceptional circumstances due to unforeseen events. A refund will apply if an alternative booking is sourced and or guests may transfer their booking to later dates.
Elephant Walking Trails reserves the right to cancel a booking with a no refund policy if not paid in full within the stipulated period. Please contact us should you require an alternative arrangement.

Guides contracted for any services are required by law to have:
DEAT registration for the areas that they will be operating
FGASA Levels 1 to 3 Qualifications or a Wildlife Conservation Diploma to operate as a guide for speciality tours
PDP – Public Drivers Permit
Licence to operate a vehicle
Walking Trails qualifications for any walking tours
Competency certificate to operate a firearm
Elephant Walking Trails is insured under SATIB for all activities on offer but does not include personal travel insurance for flights.
Coverage includes guided tours, walking trails, transfers and daytrips. The sum insured is up to R 10 million for business liability and includes all necessary support services. EG the use of helicopter extraction, ambulance transport services etc
• All firearms related to Walking Trails are covered under licence through accreditation and in relation to the law as required by the South African Police Services.
Game drive vehicle rentals
Each case is reviewed independently and is based on client’s requirements. Based on operational requirements a maintenance/service deposit may apply with a monthly rental.
Walking Trails
All guests will be required to sign an indemnity that EWT is the responsible party for your walks and activities booked through the company. The company may reserve the right to refuse a booking based on the following criteria.
No guests over 60 will be able to walk without a medical certificate.
No persons under the age of 16 will be able to walk.
Groups larger than 4 but no more than 8 will require a back-up guide of which training is offered to any in-house back-up trails guides.
Large groups will be walked consecutively or split over the duration of their stay.
Elephant Walking Trails agree:
Not to violate any applicable laws including but not limited to consumer protection, data protection and intellectual property laws (including their regulations and guidelines);
Not to advertise deals that do not show clear, truthful, verifiable, complete and unambiguous information regarding your booking.
All personal and banking information is private and is kept confidential. Information and email data is not distributed for alternative marketing outside of Elephant Walking Trails.
All claims are only applicable in South Africa and are subject to South African Law.
